# Real-time data, synced from Airtable

> A record can change on screen the moment it changes in Airtable — no refresh, no waiting.

Your visitors can see Airtable changes the moment they happen, without touching the refresh button.

A web page is a snapshot. The moment it loads it starts going stale — and a visitor staring at
an old price, last week's availability, or a status that flipped an hour ago has no idea. The
usual fixes are a refresh button nobody presses or a polling loop that hammers your data source.

VibeKit pushes changes instead. With its
[button or automation hook](/products/vibekit/features/airtable-cache-control) in place, an edit in Airtable
travels over a live connection straight to every screen showing that record — no refresh, no
polling, no waiting for the next visit.

## Live records, live lists

Detail pages get **live single records**: edit the row in Airtable and the page updates in
front of whoever is looking at it. Grids get **live lists**, so collection views stay current
too. Your agent wires both in the same way it wires any other read — it just stays connected.

## Fast by default, instant when it matters

Most lists refresh gently in the background, which keeps big lists fast — visitors always get
an immediate page, and updates arrive quietly behind it. But some changes cannot wait. Mark a
list as **high urgency** and VibeKit pushes each record's change straight into the live list as
it happens. The classic case: an event sells out, and both the listings page and the detail
page flip to sold out right away.

## Your users' sessions are live too

Login sessions ride the same stream. Edit a user's row in Airtable and their session in the app
updates; remove their row and they're signed out automatically. Your base is the access list,
enforced in real time — see [Airtable auth](/products/vibekit/features/airtable-auth).

## Push and pull, together

Live data covers the changes that must land instantly. For everything else,
[cache control](/products/vibekit/features/airtable-cache-control) lets editors refresh a record or a view with
a button inside Airtable itself — so your site stays fast, and you choose how fresh each piece
of it needs to be.
